Ian Gordon

Classic of the 70s and 80s once in Ian Gordon livery.

The Transcontinental was Ford's attempt to enter the longhaul heavy truck market, manufactured between 1975 and 1984 in the Netherlands and Britain. A total of 8735 units were produced in Amsterdam and at Foden's in Sandbach.

Assembled from OEM component parts, including the cab (Berliet), engine (Cummins) and transmission (Eaton) when it was thought that weight restrictions on HGVs would be increased.
