Star Transport Volvo

Star Transport & Warehousing Ltd was formed in Enfield, North London, in 1964 and delivered goods for two large companies. When those customers moved to Thetford in Norfolk, Star relocated with them.

The company was formed by Neville Marriott, who is the Managing Director. His three sons Mark, Howard and Jason have followed their father into the company and are all involved in the traffic office, controlling the fleet of 54 trucks and 70 trailers. Two of the next generation have already passed through the warehouse and have recently obtained their Class 1 driving licences. Just like their fathers and grandfather.

Our fleet currently consists of 36 artic units, 16 rigid and 2 x 7.5 tonne lorries. The rigids and 7.5t lorries are all curtain-sided vehicles, as are the majority of our trailers. We also have 4 flat bed trailers for bulkier loads. All of the rigid lorries and 7 of the trailers are equipped with tail-lifts to aid off-loading. The fleet is constantly being renewed, with no lorry being more than 5 years old.

Star Transport has been a member of the Palletforce Network for over five years and is able to offer a premium delivery service to all parts of the UK and some European areas.

We have a 40000 square foot warehouse, which is open for the distribution and receipt of goods 24 hours a day from Monday to Friday. This warehouse is available for longer term storage and both it and the yard are covered by CCTV 24/7 with a security guard on site during the night and at weekends.
