Amesbury Transport

Amesbury Transport from Wilshire stopped trading in 2001, but is still fondly remembered in the area.

According to an old legend Amesbury was founded by a man named Ambrosius Aurelianus, who was King Arthur's uncle. In fact, Amesbury takes its name from a Celtic hill fort. It was built sometime before Christ. The fort is called Vespasian's Camp though, in fact, it has nothing to do with the Roman Emperor Vespasian.

PHO 202T was a Volvo F717 which was probably built in Irvine , Scotland. This is the Sleeper Cab version , which is small compared to todays cabs, but was a lot better that a plank of wood across the seats !

Seen pulling a tipping bulk tanker, complete with donkey engine at an unknown location.
