Speedbird acquires Lorryspotting

Speedbird Promotions, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of promotional model vehicles have today acquired the business of Lorryspotting.com, the world’s largest website for truck enthusiasts and spotters from it’s founder, John Martin.

For almost two decades, Lorryspotting has achieved an enviable reputation as being the leading website in the UK for truck enthusiasts where spots have been recorded via a state-of-the-art database containing the details of more than 4,100 fleets from across the UK and Europe and over 460,000 vehicles. In recent years, the site has become a phenomenally large photo-sharing portal with over 360,000 photos also displayed. The site also contains the details of over x commercial airliners enabling the site to appeal to a new demographic of commercial aviation enthusiasts.

We are also looking at developing an online app to link with the spotting database to enable members to log their spots live on the move through their smartphone or tablet which we believe will fully revolutionise the website and be even more appealing to more and more truck enthusiasts.”
