Maritime Transport order 65 Actros TU

Multi-modal logistics specialist Maritime Transport turned to Mercedes-Benz Dealer Orwell Truck & Van for its latest consignment of tractor units after landing an important new contract.

The 30 Actros bear the livery of high-profile customer Allport Cargo Services, and are hauling containers from depots in Doncaster, Southampton, and Trafford Park, as well as the Birmingham Intermodal Freight Terminal.

Meanwhile, Maritime Transport has commissioned a further 35 Actros, for operation on its general fleet. They are the Felixstowe-based operator’s first new Mercedes-Benz trucks since 2011.

All 65 are Actros 2545 models with flat-floored BigSpace cabs and state-of-the-art 330 kW (450 hp) straight-six engines, which drive through smooth and efficient Mercedes PowerShift 3 automated transmissions.
