Addison of Torphins

Torphins, is a very pleasant village in Royal Deeside, Aberdeenshire, Scotland and lies on the Beltie Burn, with, in 2007, a estimated population of 1,134, this from the statistics department of Aberdeenshire council. Although one of the larger villages in Deeside, Torphins still retains a pleasant, quiet country air and the excellent sporting facilities of Upper Deeside, which include skiing, gliding and mountaineering are within easy reach and Aberdeen is within commuting distance, some 22 miles.
