Stobart teams up with Speedbird

Speedbird Promotions Ltd, one of the UK's leading suppliers of promotional model vehicles, has teamed up with the leading name in UK transport, Eddie Stobart, to produce an authentic replica model truck.An opportunity that's long been a dream for it's Managing Director, that has become reality!

Speedbird have previously supplied a number of model vehicles for various applications since their inception back in 2005. As a result of continuing investment in the range of tooling available to transport companies, which is carried out in conjunction with Speedbird's Dutch manufacturing partners, Tekno, Stobart's saw this as one of the main factors why Speedbird were chosen to produce this particular truck, a Scania R Series Topline Drawbar Curtainside truck which is an exact replica of one of the famous green and white vehicles that are seen on Britain's motorways every day.

Speedbird's Managing Director, Ben Lord, 23, says "Promotional Model Vehicles is where Speedbird's roots lie and that came largely from my personal hobby as a collector of Modern Trucks, and particularly Eddie Stobart's trucks. Since the age of 12, I've been a member of the Stobart Fan Club and at that age, I was in complete awe of the range of models that were available. As I progressed through school, and actually arrived at my school leavers' ball in an Eddie Stobart truck, I soon realised that I wanted to be involved in transport in some way and so when I started Speedbird 4 years ago, my goal was to be able, someday, to supply Stobart with models of their vehicles, so you can imagine how delighted I was to be able to work with the Stobart Promotions team in order to achieve this."
