Can I have a backy ?

When I was a youngster all those many years ago if I didn't have my bike (A Chopper) and I was a long way from home I would ask any of my mates for a "Backy" to get nearer home. It seems that concept applies to the haulage industry as well, with this photo of two A G Morrison vehicles from Aberdeen taken in the late 80's.
